Can You Buy StarLine Products Online?

Find out why you shouldn't buy grey imports and use non-authorised installation services for StarLine products in the UK.

Do not buy StarLine products on the likes of eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc., for use in the UK. These are classed as grey imports and will have no warranty and no support. Our Partners will not install products obtained through third party websites.

StarLine vehicle security products are not authorised for sale to the general public for DIY installation, online or otherwise. They can only be obtained on a ‘supplied and fitted’ basis through a network of authorised dealers, as listed at www.starlinesystems.co.uk.

Some old generation StarLine products which have been decomissioned and are no longer supplied by StarLine (i.e. 3rd, 4th, 5th generation – A93, B95, etc.) are still on sale on the likes of AliExpress. These products are more than likely counterfeit.

Every product manufacturer has to fight grey imports and counterfeit goods, and StarLine is no exception… In order to protect our Partners and customers, we would like to remind you of the following:

Offering counterfeit products and/or engaging in unauthorised distribution of trademarked goods, is an administrative offence and anyone engaging in or knowingly supporting such practices could face legal prosecution.

If you purchased the product in the UK, you can contact us to find out if the product’s serial number is registered in our database.

If the product comes from outside the UK, we will not be able to help you – please contact the original seller for product information and support.

Please remember that genuine StarLine products are not sold for DIY installation in the UK.

If the origins of the product cannot be traced i.e. the serial number is not registered in our database or you are unable to provide the serial number, factory warranty is void and the product is not eligible for any technical support or product updates.

If you install a StarLine product at a non-authorised company, product warranty is lost and the product is not eligible for any product support .

StarLine products designed for the United Kingdom are never sold online, and therefore it can be safely concluded that the product is either not genuine or classed as a ‘grey import’. Such products are not eligible for product support in the UK.

The product still holds its original warranty and is eligible for support, given that you are able to provide further details pertaining to the installation and/or the serial number of the product.

In such cases, one of our UK technical support persons might be able to offer support at a fee, provided that we are also able to confirm that the product is genuine and was installed by an authorised Partner in another country.

Unfortunately not. StarLine products are for professional installation only, and are only supplied to suitably trained / qualified technicians approved by StarLine UK.

The product might still carry warranty if it was purchased from an authorised distributor in another country. The seller carries the warranty, and it only applies to the country of the product’s origin (the warranty is not valid in the UK).

StarLine UK does not allow DIY installations, and products installed in this way are not eligible for support.
